Day 1: Depart USA
Your trip to the beautiful Emerald Isle begins when you board your evening
flight bound for Dublin Airport (airfare not included in tour price).
Day 2: Dublin City
Upon arrival at Dublin airport, collect your luggage and proceed to the
arrivals hall. A representative will be there to meet you and arrange a transfer
to your first hotel. If your flight arrives after 12.00 noon, you will need to
transfer to the hotel at your own expense. In the afternoon, commencing at 2.00
pm, we will take a panoramic tour of Dublin's Fair City. We will pass Trinity
College, home of the Book of Kells and St. Patrick's Cathedral. We'll pass
O'Connell Street, Europe's widest street and pass Christchurch Cathedral, and
the Bank of Ireland, which is formerly the Irish House of Parliament. If you
keep a close eye on the road, you may even spot Molly Malone wheeling her
wheelbarrow! Our tour concludes with a visit to Jameson's Distillery where you
will learn about the distilling process and conclude with a tipple in the
Jameson's Discovery bar.
Overnight: Hilton Dublin Hotel or similar
Day 3: Cashel/Blarney/Killarney
This morning we depart Dublin for Killarney. Our route will bring us south
through the town of Cashel, where we will visit the Mighty Rock of Cashel, once
home to the High Kings of Munster. Our drive continues on to Blarney where we
have the opportunity to visit the castle and kiss the famous Blarney Stone to
gain the gift of the gab! There will also be time to indulge in a little
shopping at the famous Blarney Woolen Mills. We arrive into Killarney in the
late afternoon and enjoy dinner together at the hotel. (B,D)
Overnight: Killarney Towers Hotel or similar
Day 4: Ring of Kerry
Today we take an exciting tour of the famous Ring of Kerry. The Ring of
Kerry is part of the mystical & unspoiled region of Ireland that has
attracted visitors for hundreds of years. Its spectacular beauty is beyond
question and it provides an amazing insight into the ancient heritage of
Ireland. The circle is completed as our route takes us on to “Ladies View” then
back to Killarney. In the afternoon, step back in time and opt to take a ride in
a traditional horse drawn cart around the Lakes of Killarney. We return to our
hotel for dinner on your own. (B)
Overnight: Killarney Towers Hotel or similar
Day 5: Cliffs of Moher/Galway
We depart Killarney and head north crossing the Shannon River by ferry into
Kilimer, County Clare. Our first stop today is the majestic, spectacular, and
mighty Cliffs of Moher. Rising 700 feet above the ocean and extending 5 miles,
the Cliffs offer sweeping views of the Atlantic, the Aran Islands, and Galway
Bay. We arrive in Galway, “the city of Tribes” named after the fourteen families
who originally settled in the area. Here, we can enjoy this historic city by
visiting the Cathedral and Claddagh area, from which the famous Claddagh ring
derived. (B)
Overnight: Harbour Hotel or similar
Day 6: Connemara
This morning, after a hearty Irish breakfast we shall explore the rugged yet
serene Connemara area which John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara made famous in the
classic, “The Quiet Man”. This rocky land of broad-backed mountains and
pearl-like lakes is the largest Irish speaking section of the country and the
old traditions and way of life are as much a part of Connemara's attractions as
is the scenery. We drive along the shores of Lough Corrib and then westward
through Maam Cross to Leenane. We return to Galway for the evening, where you
are free to enjoy the many pubs and restaurants Galway has to offer. (B)
Overnight: Harbour Hotel or similar
Day 7: Galway/Co. Donegal
Leaving Galway, we travel to Knock, where we visit the Marian Shrine and
Basilica, Ireland's place of pilgrimage. We continue on to the grave of William
Butler Yeats, Irish poet, dramatist, mystic and public figure. His grave reminds
us of his famous works, so special to the Irish people. We continue along the
North West coast stopping to enjoy the charming towns and landscape of County of
Donegal before we check in for dinner and overnight. (B,D)
Overnight: Radisson SAS Hotel or similar
Day 8: Giants Causeway/Antrim Coast
This morning after breakfast we will be exploring some of the rugged scenery
of Northern Ireland. Today we visit the Giants Causeway, often described as the
"eighth wonder of the world". Here we shall take the circular walk around the
spectacular rock formations and have time in the visitors center. Staying on the
coastal road, we shall enjoy the stunning scenery of the Antrim coast before
arriving in Belfast in the late afternoon. Tonight you are free in downtown
Belfast.(B)
Overnight: Europa Hotel or similar
Day 9: Belfast
After breakfast this morning we depart our hotel for a panoramic sightseeing
tour of Belfast City. The birthplace of the Titanic and home to some of the
world's most famous faces, Belfast is rich in history and steeped in culture.
Today it is as famous for its stylish shops, gourmet restaurants and fun-filled
nightlife as it is for its troubled past. Some of the notable sights we will see
are Belfast City Hall, Linen Hall Library, Stormont House, Grand Opera House,
St. Anne's Cathedral, Ulster Museum and the Botanic Gardens. At the end of your
tour you may wish to visit one of the city's fine art galleries or museums or
perhaps have a pint at the historical Crown Bar, where you can admire the tin
roof, stained glass windows and traditional snug's! (B)
Overnight: Europa Hotel or similar
Day 10: Belfast/Kingscourt
Leaving Belfast behind us, we travel south to Downpatrick, one of Ireland's
most famous and historic towns. Saint Patrick was reputedly buried here in 461
on Cathedral Hill, within the grounds of Down Cathedral. His grave is still a
place of pilgrimage on St Patrick's Day. We continue on to Armagh city, an
ancient religious site of worship for both Celtic paganism and Christianity. We
enjoy a tour of the City before continuing on to the beautiful 15th century
Cabra Castle, situated in Kingscourt Co. Cavan where we will spend our final
night in Ireland. (B,D)
Overnight: Cabra Castle or similar
Day 11: Dublin/USA

for your return flight. (B)
